At the end is “Gaon Yisrael”, the Iggeret HaMussar by the founder of the mussar movement, Rabbi Yisrael Lipkin of Salant. His talmid muvhak, responsible for printing it to the publisher, testifies in the introduction that “out of great humility he never published in writing his Torah and yirat shamayim and now…it will be spread…”. First edition from the lifetime of Rabbi Yisrael. [1], 25 leaves. With the original back envelope binding on colorful paper—rare.

New binding, stains, overall good condition.

The last page has as stamp: “Avraham Leib bar Yisrael Shor, Rabbi of Soki” and signature: “Shlomo Zalman ben Eliezer.” Additional note, ink not clear.
