“a segula book…to quiet one’s soul from depression, as the five types of grain [do to one’s body] to satisfy the soul of its hunger”, by the sage Rabbi Shem Tov ben Rabbi Yosef Palkira.
An interesting work incorporating philosophy and poetry. 26 [2] leaves. Categorized as rare by the National Library. At the end is the Igeret HaRamban (relatively early copy). Antique binding, leather spine, stains, rare book in good condition.
Blank first page has a note of ownership: “the holy Zekil HaLevi”, see below. There is a letter on these blank leaves sent by a son to his father using Hebrew lettering but in German. From: “Furth, Sunday, 18th Iyar 1746”. He writes deferentially and with love.
