“Since the above gaon was taken at the prime of his life and in the midst of his pure and holy work”—a letter signed by the gaon Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis for the Chochmei Lublin yeshiva in Zichron Meir (Bnei Brak). He calls on generous people to support the yeshiva founded by students of the Maharam Shapira, especially the great students who have survived the events in Europe and the exile and the poor and depressed talmidei chachamim, promising them blessings and redemption. 27×21.5cm.
