Itur Sofrim, first section, “to increase and magnify Torah and to expand the limits of wisdom…to gather together from across the Jewish movements in a way of peace and loving brotherhood…”, chiddushei Torah and thoughts from the Gaon Rav Avraham Yitzhak HaKohen Kook. His first work, from when he was 23 years old. Long, interesting introduction from him. First edition. 20 leaves. In his modesty, the title page states: “edited by Avraham Yitzhak…”, without stating that it was authored by him.


Approbations from sages of the time: the Natziv of Volozhin, Rabbi Yitzhak Elchanan Spector of Kovna, Rabbi Yerucham of Minsk, and others, as well as a long approbation from his father-in-law the Aderet, Av Beit Din of Ponevezh.

Brittle paper, title page partially detached, old binding with leather spine, overall good condition.
