Lot 159:
Letter of request to receive an avrech into the yeshiva of Rabbi Yitzhak Yerucham Diskin, from Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak HaKohne Kook, the Chief Rabbi of Israel. Jaffa 1914. He writes to Rabbi Diskin with many many titles and descriptions, “Yedidi Oz”, “Rav Chabibi”, “Peer HaDor”, and more. The two rabbis shared a very strong friendship despite the strong machloket between him and members of the Eida Charedit. As far as we can tell, this letter was never published.
Duplicate letterhead, 11x13cm. Light creases, very good condition.
