Lot 156:
Long letter, two pages long, on issues between kollels in Jerusalem regarding division of money. The writer was the head of Agudas Yisrael in Krakow, an important Belz chassid who worked to save Jews during the Shoah. It is addressed to Rabbi Yosef Haim Zonenfeld.
In the letter Rabbi Frankel details dinim between kollels including Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes for the Eida of Galicia, the Rahach HaTzaddik Yekutiel, and others. He requests that Rabbi Zonnenfeld get involved and put an end to the lengthy machloket.
Official letterhead, including a printed envelope with the name of Rabbi Frankel. Two leaves, 22x29cm. Ink is a little blurred and faded in parts between words, otherwise very good condition.
Rabbi Berl Frankel was an important Belz chassid, and one of the most prominent saviours of Jews during the Shoah. He was one of the few who was allowed to meet with Rabbi Aharon of Belz on motzei Yom Kippur to receive a bracha from him.
