Lot 144:
Table for determining the moadim and new moons for 1871, written in an organized manner on paper, probably designed for hanging up in a synagogue.
The titles of the columns have an unusual description of the year based on general historical events, such as Yetziyat Mitzrayim and Matan Torah, the building of the first Temple, the destruction of the first Temple, the Purim miracle, etc. Later there are many dates noting important and unique events in the history of Indian Jewry, such as the coming of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple to Korgolor, and the giving of a copper breastplate to Potejor, the building of the synagogue in Karkombachem, the coming of the Portuguese to Cuchin, and others.
