Rabbi Yehezkel Ezra HaLevi (1852-1942) was a sage of Baghdad in the 19th century, he immigrated to Israel in 1890 and founded the Shoshanim LeDavid synagogue and yeshiva together with Rabbi Yaakov Haim Sofer. Students of the two include Rabbi Yitzhak Khadouri. Some years later Rabbi HaLevi was called back to Baghdad to succeed the Chacham Bashi, and some years later he returned to Jerusalem, where he died in 1942 and is buried next to his friend Rabbi Yaakov Haim Sofer.
