Bronze sculpture depicting three chassidim dancing together, wearing boots. It is screwed onto a square wooden base. Created by the artist Baruch Saktsier (stamped). The hand of one of them was fixed after it broke off. Height: 33cm.
Baruch (Boris) Saktsier is a Russian-Israeli sculptor. Born in 1942 in Samarkand, he grew up in Kishinev, Moldova to artist parents. In 1970 he created the memorial in the town of Kishinev for the soldiers killed in World War II. In 1977 he won the competition to design the memorial to Yanosh Korchok, and in 1978 he created it and it is permanently displayed at Yad Vashem.
