A colorful, high-quality and impressive tapestry, created under the inspiration of the Song of Songs scroll. In the center are woven motifs from his verses: elk and deer, palm branches, clusters of vines, queues, peacocks and other winged creatures on top of rich vegetation. Around this is a frame with the verse: “The buds were seen in the land when the nightingale arrived and the sound of the turn was heard in our land. The fig gave fruit and the vines Smadar gave a scent …” Between the frames is a peacock pattern and vine clusters. Beautiful and spectacular work, made by the well-known “Marvadia” company – a subsidiary of Bezalel Jerusalem, was founded in 1920 under the design and management of the artist Mr. Yaakov Kantorovich. Dimensions: 100X130 cm. Fringes up and down. Slightly faded in color, very good general condition.
