Book by Hermann Struck used by many artists as a practical text for the various printing techniques, including engraving, stone printing and woodcutting. Along with the technical explanations, the book included a wealth of reproductions, which demonstrated the equivalent printing methods. Along with canonical artists, it also incorporated modern artists. In addition to the reproductions, several copies of the prints, printed from the original engravings, were attached to the various editions. In the copy before us, the stone print book “Portrait of an Old Jew from Jaffa” by Hermann Struck and 2 engravings by Paul Baum and Hans Meid were attached to the book. Berlin 1919. 275 pages, 3 original prints protected by printed parchment paper. Original embedded cover, professionally restored spine. Few defects and stains. Good general condition.
