Typewritten letter on official letterhead of the Rebbe, from 13th of Nissan 1951, written in English. He opens with blessings for a chag kasher v’sameach, and then engages in an interesting discussion on freedom, true cherut, and the exodus from Egypt to receive the Torah. At the end he writes: “I wish you true freedom in its fullest sense: freedom from the external anxieties of our material world, internal freedom which comes from spiritual harmony and peace, which appear in the Torah with the keeping of its commandments, may it be Hashem’s will to provide us all with true cherut and a complete redemption.” Handwritten signature of the Rebbe in English.
