With a dollar bill given at the same time as the book. This handsome edition includes a bibliographic section featuring facsimiles of Tanya editions over the years leading up to this publication (600! title pages from editions), as well as bibliographic lists and facsimiles of rare manuscripts.
In anticipation of the Rebbe’s birthday on 11th of Nissan 1984, the Rebbe ordered the printing of a special edition of the Tanya, a ‘1000th edition’, with facsimiles of prior editions. At the end of the Hisva’adut of the 11th Nissan he gave them out (with a dollar for tzedakah), to each of the participants, with help from avreichim of the Kollel.
