“Short chassidic articles to excite the heart in the work of avodat hashem, based on the deep foundations of the Baal Shem Tov and the Rabbi Maggid. Copied from a manuscript attributed to Maran the Admor…Schneur Zalman of Liady, the Baal HaTanya…”. Published by Rabbi (chassid) Haim Eliezer HaKohen Bikhovsky, who worked to print books by the Admorim of Chabad. He was old when he moved to Israel (in 1918) and he gathered books and manuscripts with Chassidic articles and found the manuscript from which he made this book, with ma’amarim from the Admor HaZaken. He left out articles that had been published in books of the Admor and Tanya before and left only those that had never been printed. See the “Petah Davar” (introduction), after the book’s title page. “And the name of the book is ‘Boneh Yerushalayim’…since by studying it and being exposed to the wonderous wisdom you will feel our redemption and that of our souls, and Jerusalem will be prepared…”. First edition, Hebrew printing by Yehiel Werker, Jerusalem 1926. [4], 180 pages. Stains and moisture marks. Otherwise overall good condition.
