Igeret HaKodesh from the Sefer HaTanya by the Admor Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liady, author of the Tanya which was itself published in Chernowitz in 1849 (estimated). The Tanya is composed of 53 chapters, Shaar HaYichud v’Emunah, Igeret HaTshuva, and Igeret Hakodesh. Parts of the Tanya were published separately to satisfy the thirst of readers. Igeret Hakodesh was printed a number of times, sometimes with a falsified imprint from fear of the censor. This edition lists Zulzbach 1786, but bibliographers estimate that it was printed in Chernowitz (1849 according to the National Library). See Mondschein Sefer HaTanya, p. 162. Extremely rare edition, scarce. 32 leaves, stains, half-leather new binding, very good condition.
