Sefer Ayelet Ahavim, “a commentary on Shir HaShirim by the gaon kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo HaLevi Elkabetz, rabbi and brother-in-law of the kabbalist HaRamak.” Based on the title page, this is the second edition printed since the 1552 edition printed in Venice. [1], 2, 5-68 leaves. The 8th leaf was bound out of place.
Approbations from Admorim: “Ateret Yehoshua of Dzikov, ” Divrei Yehezkel of Sinoa, Rabbi Eliezer Saprin of Komarna, the Maharid of Belz, and other rabbis. They bless purchasers with safeguarding and blessing, and the Admor of Komarna says: “of course anyone who takes this sefer kodesh to his home will be safeguarded from all evil.” At the beginning are subscriber names, including rabbis and important Admorim. Tape on the title page.
Bound with Barchi Nafshi “and 15 Shir HaMaalot of Rashi’s commentary, with the exegesis Beer Haim Mordechai, which I thanks to God wrote, Haim Mordechai Roller, Avdak of Nimitz.” Published during the author’s lifetime—Cluj, Kloisenburg printed by Weinstein et Friedman 1928. 116 pages in the original. This copy ends at page 112. Tape on the title page and other pages, some with missing bits of text at the edges.
New binding, light stains, overall good condition.
