Buyer's premium:

Collection of zemirot for Lag B’Omer—Bar Yochay, Amartem Koh L’Hai, Ashreinu, and more. Used personally by Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager, the Admor of Vizhnitz (the Yeshuot Moshe), who sang these during the lighting of the fire and the tisch for more than 10 years.

Among the pages is listed a number of times the name “Yehuda ben Malka” (probably the person who gave the book to the Admor). The blank first page has an inscription “I approve that this pamphlet was used by the Admor the Yeshuot Moshe of Vizhnitz from 1975 to 1987, on Lag B’Omer during the lighting and the setting of the table [tisch]…”.

This is the language used by the Minchas Eliezer in his book Divrie Torah, Edition #141, Ot 23: “We find the minhag of the righteous, who were considered vessels, was to be given things by their followers because even a gashmi type of item used by a tzaddik brings merit upon the owner.” Good condition.

Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager (1916-2012) was the 5th Vizhniter rebbe, son of the Admor Rabbi Haim Meir (the Imrei Haim). He was known for his extreme holiness and genius in Torah. He served as head of the Viznitz yeshiva while his father was Admor and then took over from him upon his death in 1972. He served as president of the Council of Torah Sages. He died in 2012 and was buried in the ohel of the Ahavas Yisrael.
