Admor Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Kahan of Toldot Aharon (1914-1997) was among the most famous Admorim and leaders of the Eida in Jerusalem. He was a talmid muvhak of the Divrei Yoel of Satmar, who always expressed that “I have one true friend in the Land of Israel.” He met his rabbi there (who later became his father-in-law), Rabbi Aharon Rata (the Shomer Emunim), and after his death was appointed to lead the Toldot Aharon community. Under his leadership many joined the community. He died during Hanukah and is buried on the Mt. of Olives.
