Nuremberg cup—18/19th century with symbol and stamp of the family.
Old silver cup made with patterned hammer work of flowers and snakes. At the bottom is a stylish frame. Weight: 93g. Height: 8.5cm. Average diameter: 7cm. Various defects, overall good condition.
At the bottom is stamped the family symbol, handsomely rendered with lions, a badger, a castle, and a crown, in the style of coats of arms from the Middle Ages. The lip of the cup has the engraving: “Paul und Melanie Metternich” (Austrians).
