The author attempts to disavow the murder of de Haan and to transfer indictments against the Zionist organizations to other parties, and protests against leaders of the Yishuv who claimed so. Dr. Yisrael Yaakov Dahan (1881-1924) was a talented jurist, journalist, and publicist, who was a baal tshuva and joined the Eida Charedit where he helped to promote the organization and helped it in its relationship with Zionists, the British Mandate authorities, and the Muslim world. The pinnacle of his work was the famous meeting between Rabbi Yosef Haim Zonnenfeld and King Abdallah of Transjordan. His work represented a thorn in the side of the Zionist organizations, particularly the Haganah, who assassinated him in 1924.
