A long viduy prayer with wonderful rhyming patterns, organized alphabetically, with zemirot for Shabbat and Channukah and motzash, by the gaon Rabbi Naftali Katz (the Smichas Chachamim), who was “Rosh Yeshiva in Ostraha and then Av Beit Din in Poznan, and then Av Beit Din in Frankfurt am Mein. And Rosh Yeshiva in Prague. In 1717 he passed away from Stombol…and now a student of his has arisen (Shlomo [Loshitz] ben…Rabbi Aryeh Yehuda Leib of Rechnitz)…to copy (some of his great work) and bring it to the printer…” [2], 37, [1] leaf in the original, this copy is missing the title page: 2-13, 30-37, [1]. The last leaf is “Shirat Moshe”, a Channukah song by Rabbi Moshe bar Aharon of Lviv. Opens with the words: “Ezamer Eranen v’Echanen Ahalelah.” See Otzer HaShira v’HaPiyut, 1, p. 110, #2317). Approbation from him as well—Nicklasburg 12th Tammuz 1757. No binding, pages detached, moth holes and damage, overall poor condition.
