Mishnei Torah, part 2: Hafla’ah and Shoftim. With many additions, printed by Marco Justinian in Venice. [1], 294-567, [5] leaves. Stains, a few moth holes, professional restoration to a few pages, new binding with gilded inscriptions, complete copy. On the back of the title page are words from “the servant…a member of the household of the Lord Marco Antonio Justinian”, which praises this edition in comparison to the Bragadin printing that came out at the same time. A huge fight broke out between the two printings, and the servant writes: “The great number of mistakes I discovered in the product [of Bragadin], if I wanted to put them in writing as I promised I would need to add more than 20 leaves and it would cost me a lot…”.
