By Rabbeinu David Kimchi, the Radak (one of the Rishonim). An important and foundational work on Hebrew grammar, organized alphabetically. Originally published as part 2 of his book “Michlol”. Printed in Venice by Lord Marco Antonio Justinian. The title page lists the year of printing as 5207 but the last page, which has a beautiful poem entitled “Alzu bechol Levav”, hints that the printing was completed in 5208 (still 1547 in the Gregorian). Title page with a pretty wood-block engraving, and the beginning of each section has a framed bit made from a pretty engraving. The page numbering is unusual, each page has 2 numbered columns. [2] pages, 5-548 pages, [1] page. Pretty copy with new handsome leather binding, lone bits of tape, stains, handsome copy of this important, antique work. A number of smudged stamps: “From the library of Yeshay’ Bennett, Budapest”. A number of handwritten notes and glosses.
