Chumash Shmot, the second book of the Five Books of Torah with Rashi’s commentary, Targum Onkelos, and Yiddish translation, as well as Megillat Esther featuring Rashi’s commentary. Printed by the brothers Rabbi Chanina Lipa and Aryeh Leib and Yehoshua Heschel Shapira, grandsons of the Slavita Rav. It is rare that copies list all three brothers (it only lasted from 1847-1851, at which time Rabbi Aryeh Leib separated from his brothers’ business and established his own printing house). This book was published in 1847, the first year that the brothers published in Zhitomir, and is the first Chumash printed by this publisher. 186 leaves, missing the accompanying siddur. Professionally repaired title page, tears repaired in additional pages, stains, moth damage, overall fair condition, new binding.
