Letter written using copy paper, signed by Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vishay, addressed to Rabbi Isser, the Shoel u’Bodek, asking the Admor to receive his delegate Rabbi “Zeide Perl” who was appointed Shadar for the Beit Yisrael yeshiva, led by the Admor, “to help for all eventualities, for our mifal which needs help.”


The Beis Yisrael yeshiva was established by the Admor in 1921. At its pinnacle there were 400 students and was one of the largest yeshivot in Romania.

The Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vichay (1885-1941) was the eldest son of the Ahavas Yisrael of Vizhnitz. He was known as a gaon and was Admor to thousands, teaching generations of students. He died to the chagrin of thousands of his students and followers in the year 1941.
