Lot 148:
Kitvei Beit HaMidrash, “with chiddushei torah with pilpul, a minority for halacha and an extremity for practical matters”, by Rabbi Shmaryahu Appelbaum, the Av Beit Din of Honstet. [2], 78 leaves. Important approbations from rabbis of the period.
At the beginning is a pretty poem from the author: “B’Knisati l’Beit HaMidrash” (Upon My Entering the Beit Midrash). Bound with 23 older pages from the work “Totza’ot hayyim Halachot Treifut”, we did not examine from which edition. The paper is a little brittle, stains, overall good condition.
The title page has the signature of the author: “Shmary’ Appelbaum”.
The blank first page has the stamp: “Rabbi Yosef Zvi Katz, in the Jewish community of Bucharest.”
