Sefer HaMitzvot HaKatzar “in which are collected all of the mitzvot aseh that we can keep in our time and all of the lo ta’aseh that every man must prevent himself from committing, organized in accordance with the list set by the Rambam and many Rishonim.” By Rabbi Yisrael Meir HaKohen of Radin, the Chafetz Haim. 2 sections, one each for the mitzvot aseh and lo ta’aseh, separate title pages. First edition from the author’s lifetime. 7, [1], 17 leaves. Binding detached, pages detached, paper a little brittle. Overall good condition.
The blank first page has a taped leaf from Proverbs of the Chafetz Haim, by David Zritzky. – The title pages have the note: “Ephraim Shmuel Lerner.” – Rabbi Ephraim Shmuel Lerner (1879-1962) was the son of Rabbi Mordechai, he served as rosh yeshiva of the Ashkenazi kabbalistic yeshiva Sha’ar HaShamayim in Jerusalem, was a founder of the Sha’arei Chesed neighborhood there, and founded the Gra synagogue there and served there as chazan for many years.
