Lot 182:
On Genesis, by Rabbi Avraham Dov Liechtenstein of Lechnitz, great-grandson of the Gaon Rabbi Hillel of Kolomiya, “with three books inside”: “Yalkut Avraham” on Jewish education based in Torah by the author himself, “Likkutei Beit Yehuda” by his grandfather Rabbi Yehuda Liechtenstein Av Beit Din of Belkon, and the “Yalkut David” by Rabbi David Pozner. This is a rare book from a printer which only produced a few lone works. [5], 10-111, [11] leaves. Two title pages, endorsements from rabbis of the Liechtenstein family. At the end are 12 pages of subscribers and an article “Ki Ayin b’Ayin Yiru…”, on the Zohar and the secret of the Yemot HaMashiach translated into Yiddish, with a separate cover, binding partially detached, worn cloth binding, overall good condition.
The title page and blank first page have a signature of ownership from a descendant of Rabbi Avraham and the grandson of Rabbi Yehuda Liechtenstein: “Eliezer Kunstlicher” with stamps in other languages from him, see below. Note on the blank first page: “Yuda Moshe Liechtenstein” and more, title page has the note: “Moga 300.” Back of the binding: “Ephraim B’Levi…c.”
Rabbi Eliezer Kunstlicher was the son of Rabbi Zvi of Hermanstadt. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Liechtenstein, Av Beit Din of Betlon. He served as rabbi of Honiad. He perished in the Shoah.
