Buyer's premium:

Siddur Tefillat Yisrael for the entire year with the commentary Divrei Shlomo by Rabbi Shlomo bar Haim Haikel Yanovsky. States on the title page that it was printed in Pietrekov 1921, but was probably printed in Warsaw in 1923 according to the note on page 6 and the title page of Psalms. Includes the Song of Songs with exegeses, Pirkei Avot, Tikkunei Shabbat, prayers for the Jewish holidays, Pesach Haggadah and Psalms, with a separate title page. Thick volume, wonderful given that it includes a few hundred pages but with an error-filled pagination. A few tears and stains, tape for reinforcement in the margins of a number of pages. Old, pretty binding, overall very good condition.

This is a rare and important segula siddur, decorated with many approbations by leaders of the generation, some of which only mention their names: the Admor Rabbi Meir Yehiel of Ostrovtza, Rabbi Haim of Brisk, Admorim of Radomask, the Minchat Eliezer of Munkatch and more. There is also, most importantly, the approbation of the first Admor of Boston, Rabbi Pinchas David HaLevi Horwitz, who ordered his secretary to write on his behalf: “It appears proper to Maran shlita for everyone to buy one copy of the siddur…to support him and sustain him and to bring a blessing into your homes, and thanks to this you will be blessed with all good things…written at the behest of maran shlita.”
