Lot 031:
Complete and well-kept: the book Akeidat Yitzchak, five volumes, Pressburg 1849, the special edition A set of five volumes of the book Akeidat Yitzchak on the Torah and the five megillot by Rabbi Yitzchak Arama. On the title page: “This lofty book was printed many times in different countries, but this new edition supersedes them all, both in its form and its material. In its form, because we obtained top-quality paper and nice letters as the reader will see. Due to its material because (a) we added the author’s book Chazut Kashe to this work. (b) We worked hard…to remove all of the errors…” and other additions as can be seen from the title page. Printed in Pressburg. 1849. Endorsements from the Rashar Hirsch and Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer. The Book of Exodus is missing the title page, rebound, stains, overall good condition.
The blank first page of Genesis has a note of ownership: “Yitzhak ben Michael Zeev HaKohen”. Stamp: “Dedicated to lomdei Torah from the library of the chaver Rabbi Eliy’ son of the chaver Rabbi Shmuel Wasserman.”
