Lot 027:
Thick volume containing mishnayot from Seder Kodshim and Taharot, with commentary by Bartenura and Tosafot Yom Tov “to which are added some devarim”: all of the linguistic variations are included as well as chiddushim from the Chassid Rabbi Shimshon of Hamburg and the other geonim of the time, “which are called Tosafot Chadashim”. First edition containing this addition—Amsterdam 1775. Colophon lists 1776. Printed by Yaakov Propus. 163, [1], 223 [1] leaves. Additional title page for Seder Taharot. Title pages in red ink, light stains, handsome antique binding (worn), page cuttings in purple (faded), a pretty copy which has been well-preserved in good condition.
The title page has the signature: “Baruch Ben Yona in Grossheim.” Not checked thoroughly. Stamps of the Beit Midrash and Library of Frankfurt-am-Mein.
