Lot 215:
Typewritten letter on blank letterhead. Addressed to the administrators of the Agudat Tikvat Hayyim in Jerusalem, “I have received your letter…about a program for introducing spirituality to encourage people, and of course the idea is to strengthen those coming to Israel with traditional Judaism and to spread it…” He supports them and quotes from the Tanya to encourage them. Signed by the secretary, Rabbi Shalom Menachem Mendel Simpson “in the name of the Admor shlita”. Many letters supposedly signed by the secretaries were actually the Rebbe himself signing using the secretary’s name. From the 7th Chabad Rebbe, the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch (April 18, 1902 – June 12, 1994).
