Prayers, segulot, and tikkunim according to the kabbalah, with chiddushim on masechet megillah, by Rabbi Haim Lifshitz. On leaf 35 page 1 he mentions the name of Natan Ha’azati (Nathan the Gazan), prophet of the false messiah Shabtai Zvi: “Before every reading and prayer one should say this kavana, based on Natan the Prophet…a tikkun that Nathan of Gaza organized for a six-day period.” Endorsements from Rabbi David Oppenheim and other rabbis of Prague, Rabbi Berman Segel of Zulzbach, and more. [4], 3-98 pages in the original, this copy is missing one page—probably from the introduction and one of the pages from its end. Half-leather, original binding, pages detached, Stains, moth marks, tears mainly at the edges. A few bits of tape. Overall fair condition. The title page and body of the work has many notes of ownership, including “Mendel Pig of Litana”, and “Avraham ben Dov” and more, not checked thoroughly. Rav Haim Lifshitz was one of the greatest of his generation, he succeeded his father-in-law, rabbi Kalman Haberkastan in the rabbinate of Ostraha, rabbi and head of the Lublin yeshiva, founded the Great Synagogue there (According to the tradition). Authored many books and zemirot for Shabbat. Also wrote Tochachat Hayyim, Mekor Haim, and more.
