By the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Kahane, one of the greatest students of the Gra, son of Rabbi Avraham of Brestitz and grandson of Rabbi Shaul of Amsterdam. The author was the son-in-law of Rabbi Issachar Beer, the Gra’s brother. Printed by Zalman Leib Plakir and partners. [2], 58, [1] leaves. Stefanski Sifrei Yesod 87. Endorsements by Rabbi Yosef Shaul HaLevi Natanson of Lviv and Rabbi Betzalel HaKohen of Vilna. The last page has the pamphlet “Zichron Yosef”, from letters of Rabbi Yosef ben Rabbi Yisrael Isser of Wilkamer on an “exegesis about the shita of Bein HaShmashot”. Stains, lone moth holes, new binding, overall good condition.
At the end of the book is a cursive signature which is difficult to parse with the names: “Yosef HaKohen” and on the last page: “R’ Yitzhak Wieder.” Stamps on the title page and elsewhere in Cyrillic lettering.
