1. Typewritten letter on official letterhead of the “Temporary Va’ad for Saving the Talmud Torah Shomrei HaChomot in Jerusalem”, from Nissan 1943, to the gabbays and administrators of the Eshel HaTorah institution about their donation to Shomrei HaChomot. Signed and stamped by Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis, Ra’avad of the Eida Charedit in Jerusalem.

2. Letter entirely handwritten and signed by Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis in which he warns the leaders of the Ashkenazi Community Va’ad that “receiving support from the municipality is not forbidden by us…but if you receive money designated for shechita funds for other religious services you have no permission to accept it…”. The letter was written on Lag b’Omer of 1950 and is signed and stamped by him. Folding creases and filing holes. The ink has soaked into the paper and smudged a bit.
