Lot 111:
A handwritten notebook. Opens with a short introduction written by the author, who signs his name: “I the holy Asher Zelig Sheinfeld…here in Hanesh Vienna, 1923.” The body of the notebook has divrei torah in Yiddish such as “to awaken the groom before he walks under the chuppah”, various commentaries in Hebrew on Torah verses and midrashim. In one place the author writes: “I heard from my uncle, Rabbi Nehemiah Wohal of Haneshevien.” Each section notes the date of writing: he opens in 1923. On the back of some pages are pages filled with writing in a local language, with only a few remarks in Hebrew. Lots of moisture stains, wear, overall good condition.
