Sefer torah written by a sofer—unique Persian script—on gvil parchment. Height of the writing: 39cm. Height of the parchment: 51cm. 42 lines per column. Original and unique—Persia, early 20th century.
Inside the original, handsome case, made of wood coated in silver. At the top is a wonderful bouquet covered in silver with engravings of flowers. The body is covered with plates of silver, and on both sides are plaques of silver shaped like the Tablets with interesting dedications from 1903. Throughout the vertical plane is an additional dedication (written later, from when the sefer was brought to Israel, in 1960). Inside is purple velvet embroidery. Wooden columns for rimonim. Height: 70cm. Diameter: 34cm. Overall good condition.
Included are a pair of old, handsome Persian/Indian rimonim (finials) made of bronze mixed with low-grade silver, crafted using welding, hammering, casting, and engraving methods, with decorations of fish, floral and geometric patterns. At the top of each finial is a matching stylized dome. Total weight: 433g. Height differences between the two as well as other slight differences between them. Bells have been added.
