Lot 053:
Old wooden frame for hanging, for matzah used in an eruv hatzerot (matzah is often used because it stays good for a long time, and it is put into a synagogue for use by the public). Carved by hand with wonderful decorations of flora patterns. In the center is a glass door, framed wood for preservation, with a key. At the top is a brass plaque in the shape of a Star of David. At the bottom is an inscription:
“Mikol
Tzarah
Hatzilenu
” (save us from all problems), with bolding of the initials of the word matzah. Size: 25x34cm. Depth: 4+cm. Light defects, the key doesn’t work. Overall good condition.
