Lot 024:
5 volumes containing the whole chumash with haftaroth, translation into English on the opposite page, and all including “the prayers for shabbat with the yotzrot for the entire year.” Two separate title pages in Hebrew and English. Two additional title pages for some of the prayers. Published by Yosef Yehoshua ben Yitzhak Valentine, London 1874. The Genesis volume notes a different year of printing in Hebrew (1889) but the English title pages of all the volumes show the year as 1867 (5628). Handsome copy on high-quality paper with gold page cuttings, original bindings in purple with frames gilded with gold. Various defects, overall good condition.
