Lot 257:
Three small wine bottles with wine from a kos shel bracha given by the Rebbe at happy occasions in his last years. One of the bottles has written that the wine was from the last day of Pesach, 1989. The bottles have been opened and are only partially filled. The giving out of the kos shel bracha took place on motzei chag at 770, when the rabbi gave the wine that he had used for birkat hamazon and then for the Havdalah at the Hitva’adut. These took place with huge numbers of people. He would often stop the giving out of the wine and encourage songs of happiness. From the 7th Chabad Rebbe, the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch (April 18, 1902 – June 12, 1994).
The Lubavitcher Rebbe – the Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn of Lubavitch – the seventh rebbe of Lubavitch (April 18, 1902 – June 12, 1994.
