Auction 32
Lot 111:
Lone page removed from binding, with a commitment “that I the signed below have committed to receive the Pnei Yehoshua now being printed in Warsaw by H. Argelbrand…for 6 silver rubles, and I gave a deposit of 1 ruble…” The page is printed on both sides with a note on the volumes that are supposed to be printed with space for the purchaser’s signature. This page bears the signature of “Shimon ben Rabbi Finkelstein.” These Pnei Yehoshua books were printed in Warsaw from 1861-1862. Lone pages of this sort are considered rare since the currency was not preserved over the years. Tears in the fold with slight damage to text. Stains. 16x16cm. [1] page.
