Four-branched bronze menorah, cast with ornate stems sitting on a round base. A carved wood leg splits into branches surrounding a lion, with four candleholders in the middle of which is a crowned eagle. Casting and screwing work. Height: 50cm. Diameter of the base: 18.5cm. Light defects, overall good condition. A Shabbat menorah of this kind is located in the Museum of Ethnography and Artistic Crafts in Lviv (Ukraine). The creation is by Bogreis Kohen Grossman, shown in ‘World Jewish Museums: Masterpieces of Judaic Artistic Creation’ by A. Kantsedikas, p. 134 and Yehudit: Bronze, vol. 1.
