Zikaron Tov, “with seventeen headings…the first section includes six.” This is a foundational work explaining significant topics in Jewish thought, such as the goal of Creation, the keeping of Shabbat, Shirat HaYam, the kinyan of the Torah, and more, by Rabbi Ezra ben Yosef Tzoref, the Av Beit Din of Serdoli. Brought to the publisher by the author’s son, Rabbi Yehoshua Tzoref. First edition, from the author’s lifetime, Lviv (Lemberg) 1874. Important endorsement by Rabbi Yosef Shaul Natanson. [2], 78 leaves. Small tear in the margins of the title page. Bound together with the work Michlolim by the Rakbag, with drashot on the Torah by Rabbi Yaakov Kapil Zvi ben Gavriel Dickman, Av Beit Din of Poltshia, Moldova. First edition, also from the author’s lifetime, Lemberg 1874. Important endorsements from geonim of the period: Rabbi Yosef Shaul Natanson, Rabbi Shlomo Kluger of Brod, Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried (the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch) and Rabbi Meir Leibush (the Malbim). No pagination, supposed to be 134 in the work. Tape on the last page, light stains, rebound, overall good condition.
