Sefer Olam HaGadol “also called Midrash LaPerushim”, 70 droshim and commentaries organized according to the introductions of the Arizal on the pasuk “Vayavo Yaakov Shalem, etc.”. By Rabbi Eleizer Fischel ben Rabbi Yitzhak (the Maggid Meisharim of Brody). Interesting kabbalistic work written during his youth and added to over time, with three additional introductions, one long and filled with rhymes. [1], 136 pages. Partially missing copy, missing the last page of the author’s apology and one endorsement, and three additional page with the introductions. Title page in red ink, the end has an index, endorsements from Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Meizlish, Rabbi Meir of Brody, and more. Tape on the back of the title page, large stains in the bottom half of the page, moth damage in a bunch of pages, rebound, overall fine condition.

Signatures of ownership on the title page: “Moshe Dov Beer ben Natan…?” and an important stamp: “Meir ben Rav Yaakov Shik, Av Beit Din of Onod and the Galil” and a handwritten signature, see below. Dedication: “Doron Darsha from Rabbi Yosef of Riske.”

Rabbi Haim Meir Shik (1870-1931) was the son of Rabbi Yaakov (the Yisharesh Yaakov). He was a student of the Shabas, in his first marriage was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Katz of Onod and succeeded him in 1890. In his second marriage he was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yosef Shlomo Reinitz of Mishkoltz. He established the Yeshiva LeLimmud Torah u’Melacha (where students studied tailoring, carpentry, and shoemaking). His sons were Rabbi David Yosef of New York, Rabbi Moshe Natan of Pest, Rabbi Shmuel of Pinzehali. His sons-in-law: Rabbi Yehezkel Feivel Donata (his successor in Onod), and Rabbi Avraham Yosef Liechtenstein of Niroshad.
