Typewritten letter on official letterhead of the Rebbe, in which he refers to an essay written by the sender and advises whether to print it for the benefit of the Daf Yomi learners. There are a number of handwritten corrections handwritten, plus his signature. The Admor Chabad Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch was the 7th Chabad Rebbe (1902-1994). The recipient was Rabbi Alexander Sender Yudasin, an important Chabad rabbi in Israel, leader of the Chassidic community in Yafo for close to 50 years, member of the Beit Din and author of books on the Shas and the Tanya. Born in Belarus, he studied at the Tomchei Temimim yeshiva under the Rashab, and after the First World War, established a branch of Tomchei Temimim in Kherson, a city in Ukraine, and received a rabbinical ordination from Rabbi David Zvi Chen. The Kabbalist Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson – the father of the last Rabbi of Chabad, was the mesader kiddushin at his wedding. He was in close contact with the Rebbe and was repeatedly banned by the Soviets for his activities on his mission. He immigrated to Eretz Yisrael in the year of 1934 and settled in Tel Aviv where he was later appointed the rabbi of the Chabad community in Jaffa. He died in 1983.
