Organized with Masechet Avot in the center with Rashi’s commentary around it, with Midrash Shmuel by Rabbi Shmuel Ozido and the exegesis Knesset Yisrael by Rabbi Yisrael Goldman of Grosvardin—from Torna (Tarnov—Slovakia). [4], 132 pages. Front binding is original and repaired. A few stains and light tears. Generally very good condition. Many stamps of ownership of Rabbi Dov Yehuda Dayna, a rabbi in Slotzk and then in Brooklyn, son of Rabbi Zundel of Salant (founder of the mussar movement and rabbi of Rabbi Yisrael Salanter and father-in-law of Rabbi Shmuel Salant, rabbi of Jerusalem). Glosses and corrections handwritten throughout the book.
