Lot of important Q&A books, some with interesting stamps, from the library of Hasidic Kabbalist Rabbi Mordechai Moshe Hacohen Karpman of Jerusalem. Copies are predominantly also signed or stamped. 1. Shot Maharam ben Rav Baruch, by Rabbi Meir from Rotenburg. Budapest 1896. Ownership signature: "Mordechai Moshe Hacohen Karpman grandson and great-grandson of the late author". Caption "Moga" in title page. 2. Shut Maharam Bar Baruch, by Rabbi Meir of Rotenburg Part Three First Edition – Lemberg | 1860. Stamp: "Meir Nahum Yunger Leib" – Rabbi Meir Nahum Yungerleib (1868-1940?), son of Rabbi Alexander Shmuel, descendants of the Maggid of Glutskov, Rabbi Baruch of Mazibuz, Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz and more. Filled his father’s place with the Vishnovich (Vahlin) rabbinate. 3. Shut LeMarna v’Rabana, the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Alfasi". 320 judgments organized as questions and answers by the Rif. – Warsaw 1884. Interesting stamp: "Jonathan Ivshitz Katzek." And additional ownership records. 4. Shut Khut HaShani by Rabbi Yair Haim, the Khavat Yair – Munkatch 1896. Ownership records in foreign language. 5. Shut HaRosh, without title page, unknown year of printing. 6. Ateret Chachamim book, which includes 2 parts, first part of the book on the four parts of the Shulchan Aruch. Part two chiddushim on the Shas. By Rabbi Baruch Frankel Teumim of Leipnik, author of the glosses "Baruch T’am" on the Shulchan Aruch, the father-in-law of the "Divrei Chaim Matzane". – Padgurza 1899. Various listings in foreign language. 7. Shut Chatam Sofer, 2 sections – Vienna 1895. Section with Yore De’a has a separate title page, – Vienna 1897. Interesting ownership signature: "I bought the book from the tithe of Beth Hashem Scheinfeld." Probably this is the grandfather of Rabbi Yochanan of Erlau. Stamp in foreign language: "Josef Scheinfeld". Varying conditions, some covers are worn, some of them some detached pages, good general condition.
