Lot 190:
1. Pri Toar, on the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De’ah until Siman 122, with exegesis of Rabbeinu Haim ben Atar, the Ohr HaHayyim, second edition (the first printed only the book itself without the Pri Chadash, it was called “Perot Ginosar”). Zolkva (cover says Vienna), 1810. With endorsements of Admor Rabbi Avraham Hayyim of Zlotchov, student of the Maggid of Mastrich, the Orech L’Chaim. [1], 116 pages. Few moth holes, stains, generally good condition. Signature on the cover of the student of the Chatam Sofer, Rabbi Moshe Herzfeld of Serdohel (1823-1883), son of Rabbi Eliezer, son-in-law of Rabbi Meir ben HaLevi of Serdohel. A great student of the Chatam Sofer and his son the Katav Sofer. Served as rabbi in Pressburg and Serdohel, where he was rabbi and Motz of the Torat Chesed organization. His sons were Rabbi Michael Zvi of Jerusalem, Rabbi Yitzhak of Serdohel, who died in the Shoah, and Rabbi Shlomo of Wiezen. Authored the Divrei Moshe (Chatam Sofer and His Students, p. 349).
