The book Machberet Hakodesh “Which is a book of the kavanot for shabbatot and rosh chodesh and important dates… by the Godly Rabbi Chaim Vital, as he learned from his teacher the Ari…” kabbalah about shabbatot and festivals with additions by Rabbi Natan Neta Shapiro the Megaleh Amukot and the Rema of Pano. First edition that was printed according to a manuscript found in the study hall of the Maggid of Mezeritch, published by Rabbi Shlomo Lutzker, one of the foremost disciples of the Maggid and one of the foremost writers of his teachings. With an approbation from those who study in the Mezeritch study hall, led by the av beit din of the city Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Margaliot, son-in-law of Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Katz author of Brit Kehunat Olam – Korzec, 1783. [1], 148 leaves. Originally 152 leaves – in the copy before us, typewritten leaves were inserted instead of the missing leaves. Pastings and restorations on the title page. Stains. Worming holes. A few leaves are cut at the margins with no damage to text. Professionally bound, spine and corners are faux leather that is disintegrating. Several corrections of words in ancient handwriting and one gloss of the chassidic kabbalist Rabbi Mordechai Moshe Karfman of Jerusalem. Ancient ownership signature on the title page: “Menachem Yosef son of Rabbi Pinchas.” Good overall condition.
