Lot 132:
Prayer book with explanations and commentaries and kavanot of the prayers of the Ari, with kavanot of the order of shabbatot and festivals, by “the Godly kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Kapil Ish Lifshitz”, Lemberg 1859. In the approbation of Rabbi Asher Zvi of Ostrog he writes about this prayer book “I heard that this prayer book…was seen by the Baal Shem Tov and he approved of it.” On the book’s title page is an especially interesting ownership stamp: “Moshe Cahana shochet of Skole” and an additional stamp of the kabbalist Rabbi Mordechai Moshe Karfman of Jerusalem. A stamp in Latin letters “Dr Hinko Urbah.” Ownership signature: “Yair Leib Leibersohn, born here in the holy city of Jerusalem.” Various inscriptions at the beginning and end of the volume. Missing 3 leaves from the middle, stains on some of the leaves, the binding is slightly unraveled at the edges, one leaf is restored. Good overall condition.
